Dutch Bros Brookings Raises More Than $2,000 for Katelyn’s Cause

November 29, 2017

BROOKINGS, Ore. (Nov. 29, 2017) – On Friday, Nov. 24, Dutch Bros Brookings raised more than $2,000 for Katelyn’s Cause, a local nonprofit that brings gifts to children receiving cancer treatment at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

“Thank you so much to the community of Brookings for coming out to support Katelyn’s Cause.  Katelyn’s Cause will use 100% of the money raised to purchase gifts for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, in hope of bringing more smiles and happiness to those children this holiday season,” said Tony Jantzer, owner of Dutch Bros Brookings.

Chis and Molly Wallace founded Katelyn’s Cause after losing their daughter Katelyn in 2008 to synovial sarcoma, at the age of 17. Chris and Molly, along with Tony and Tasha Jantzer, will be at Doernbecher’s Hospital this week, bringing toys and gear to the children battling cancer there.

“Dutch Bros Brookings could not have been more honored to support this amazing cause, which truly represents what the holiday season is all about. Thank you to the Wallace family for making this possible and for their continued support of the children,” said Tony.

On Friday Nov. 24, the Brookings Dutch Bros located at 747 Chetco Ave., donated $1 from each drink sold to Katelyn’s Cause. The funds raised went directly to purchasing gifts for children receiving cancer treatment at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Ore.
