Dutch Bros Coos Bay and North Bend Raise Over $2,300 For Local Mental Health Nonprofit

June 15, 2017

COOS BAY, Ore. (June 15, 2017) – On Friday, June 9, Dutch Bros Coos Bay and North Bend locations raised $2,397 for Kairos, a local nonprofit organization that provides mental health services and support for young members of the community.

In addition to the $1 donation from every drink sold, Dutch Bros also offered a nine-stamp loyalty card for every large drink purchased, in order to encourage extra support from the community.

Kairos offers a number of programs that meet immediate, short-term, crisis-initiated mental health needs. They also offer longer-term options to address a youth's or young adult's mental health concerns.

“Thank you Dutch Bros Coos Bay/North Bend for valuing mental health awareness and donating to Kairos,” said Mary Lynne DeRocher, Development Director of Kairos. “We appreciate and value Dutch Bros’ Support of our agency and the youth and families on the South Coast.”

"Working with the Kairos team has been such a pleasure and I am proud to support all the work they do with mental health issues in our communities," said Ken Hiler, owner of Dutch Bros Coos Bay and North Coast. “The stories that came through the window on Friday of the victories that the community has seen through Kairos and agencies like them made me feel really excited about working together again in the future.”

Kairos set up an information booth at the Dutch Bros location at 149 S. 7th Street, in Coos Bay.  That day $1 from every drink sold on Friday was donated to Kairos.

Dutch Bros North Bend is located at 940 Virginia Street. Dutch Bros Coos Bay has two locations, one at 149 S. 7th Street, and the other at 843 S. 1st Street.
