Following its motto of making a difference one cup at a time, Dutch Bros. Coffee stores recently donated $90,000 to local children’s organizations for Buck for Kids Day, held Dec. 10, 2010. The program takes place at all 156 Dutch Bros. locations and proceeds from every beverage sold that day are given to local children’s organizations.
“We’re excited to be able to raise money and help spread the Dutch ‘Luv’ to children in our communities,” says Travis Boersma, co-founder of Dutch Bros. Coffee. “Our franchisees are always committed to supporting their local charities, and it’s always great to see it all come together and to have such a fantastic result.”
Buck for Kids Day is just one way that Dutch Bros. shows its commitment to giving back. The company also holds fundraisers for non-profits such as Muscular Dystrophy Association and American Cancer Society, and reinvests one percent of its annual gross sales back into the community.
