Gift Card Design Contest Winner

15-Apr-2010 Philip McDaniel a customer from Bend, Oregon, is the winner of our Dutch Bros. gift card design contest!

Dutch Bros. received 170+ design submissions from fans. The winning design features the famous Dutch Bros. coffee cup with a corresponding color scheme that includes a windmill and flower background, as well as a quote from a Dutch Proverb that reads, “Who needs the moon, when the sun is shining?” Designs were judged by the Dutch Bros. team.

“We are so pleased with the participation, excitement and energy our fans from all over brought to each design during the contest,” said Adam Cuppy, creative and online media director for Dutch Bros. Coffee. “It was very hard to pick just one winner, but Philip’s design ultimately won because of its creativity and attention to detail that includes Dutch Bros.’ positive vibe and aesthetic. We also really liked that he acknowledged our Dutch roots.”

The winner had the choice of one of the following prizes: a month of free coffee at Dutch Bros., $100 Dutch Wear gift certificate or a pair of customized Dutch Bros. Nike sneakers. McDaniel chose the sneakers.

Dutch Bros. recently launched a formal gift card program, replacing its former Coffee Cash system - dollar gift certificates redeemable at any Dutch Bros. location. The gift cards, available in any amount, can be purchased at any one of over 150 Dutch Bros. locations in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona.
