DutchBros. Coffee locations will donate proceeds from all coffee sales to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on Friday, April 30 to raise awareness for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). The drive is held annually in honor of our company's co-founder, Dane Boersma who was diagnosed with ALS in 2005 and passed away in late 2009. Last year, Dutch Bros. contributed $80,000 to the MDA for research and family services funding and our goal is to increase that by a significant amount.

Dutch Bros. Coffee Ranked Highest in Customer Satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (May 4 , 2012) — Dutch Bros. Coffee, a fun-loving and spirited drive-thru coffee company with nearly 180 locations across the West Coast, has announced that J.D. Power and Associates ranked the company highest in customer satisfaction compared to other coffee companies in its 2012 Specialty Coffee Retailer Satisfaction Report(SM).

“From the beginning our mission has been to serve our customers and community with love and respect – all while keeping it fun,” said Travis Boersma, president and co-founder of Dutch Bros. Coffee. “This recognition is a demonstration of that philosophy, and shows how much our amazing employees truly care about the people we serve.”

The report was based on responses from more than 1,300 customers regarding their purchase of any product or beverage from any specialty coffee retailer.

The inaugural report found that a specialty coffee retailer's staff is more than twice as important to customers compared with the importance for the other factors that measure satisfaction. Customer service attributes such as courtesy, knowledge of merchandise, speed of checkout and availability contribute to the overall staff factor. Other factors contributing to overall satisfaction are merchandise, cost, sales/promotion and facility. For more information, visit www.jdpower.com.

DUTCH BROS. COFFEE PARTNERS WITH MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION TO FIGHT ALS

On Friday, May 4, all 173 Dutch Bros. Coffee locations will host MDA Day, donating all proceeds to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research.

The event, which kicks off ALS Awareness Month, is held annually in honor of company co-founder, Dane Boersma, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2005 and passed away in late 2009. Last year, Dutch Bros. contributed a record-breaking $137,000 to MDA for research and family services funding.

Additionally, Dutch Bros. will be giving away MDA stickers. Customers may also make donations at danesdrive.org. New this year, Dutch Bros. Coffee is offering an all proceeds t-shirt online at dutchbros.com. All proceeds from sales of the shirt will be donated to the MDA for the entire month of May.

As we approach Super Bowl XLVI, it's time to announce the winner of this year's Cyber Bowl. Congratulations to...

Dustin Chilson of Happy Valley, Oregon, the new Don of the Dutch Mafia!

Dustin, under the username Dustinc, managed to rack up an impressive 1176 points over the season, narrowly taking the top spot from "Wahoo" by a mere 8 points. Dustin, a Dutch Bros. regular since moving to the area, says he likes to "keep it simple" with his order. His favorite drink--a Dutch Mocha.

When asked about his Cyber Bowl strategy, Dustin says he would like to keep it "top secret" to give him a better shot at winning again next year.

Again, congratulations to Dustin! For his efforts, Dustin will receive a full year of free Dutch Bros. Coffee and other fabulous prizes.

DUTCH BROS. COFFEE RAISES $93,000 ON ANNUAL BUCK FOR KIDS DAY

GRANTS PASS, ORE. (Dec. 27, 2011) – This month, in support of Dutch Bros.’ mantra “make a difference one cup at a time,” the company’s customers helped raise $93,000 to benefit regional nonprofits. The donation is the result of Dutch Bros.’ annual Buck For Kids Day, an event during which all 173 locations give a portion of their proceeds to the community.

“Just in time for the holidays, we’re thrilled to share this Buck For Kids donation with the communities in which we work and live,” said Travis Boersma, co-founder of Dutch Bros. Coffee. “Our franchisees and customers are very committed to supporting local organizations, and we’re thankful for their eagerness to give back.”

In addition to fundraisers, such as Buck For Kids Day, the company reinvests one percent of annual gross sales back into the community, donating more than $1 million in 2010 to nonprofit organizations.
