SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 2, 2019) – 18 Dutch Bros locations in Sacramento joined together with the community on Wednesday, June 26 to raise $64,441 for the memorial fund of fallen Sacramento Police Officer Tara O’Sullivan, who was shot and killed on duty Wednesday, June 19.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sacramento Police Department and the friends and family of Tara O’Sullivan,” said Nikol Grubbs, owner of Dutch Bros Sacramento. “We are thankful for her commitment, bravery and service to our citizens. With broken hearts, but hope for a stronger community, we strive to bring awareness and honor for this courageous fallen officer.”
Dutch Bros locations in Auburn, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Davis, Dixon, Elk Grove, Fair Oaks, Granite Bay, Lodi, Rocklin, Roseville, Sacramento and Woodland donated $1 from each drink sold on Wednesday to honor the sacrifice Officer O’Sullivan paid to protect the community.
“We are so thankful that our customers came together to show such love and support in this time of sadness,” said Nikol Grubbs.
The funds raised by the giveback were directly donated to the Tara O’Sullivan Memorial Fund organized by the Sacramento Police Department.
