Dutch Bros Sacramento to Raise Funds for Local Teen Hit by a Car

February 28, 2018

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Feb 28, 2018) – On Saturday, Mar. 3, the Dutch Bros Sacramento location at 4625 Manzanita Ave. in Carmichael will donate the proceeds from every drink sold to support the medical care of Nicholas Webb, a 14 year-old local teen who was tragically hit by a car when he entered into the street to retrieve his skateboard in front of his home.

Nicholas is currently in the ICU at UC Davis Hospital, where he is receiving supportive care and medical treatments for his injuries. He was placed in an induced coma, with a stint in his head, to help relieve pressure and swelling. The family estimates the length of his hospital stay to be approximately a month, possibly even longer.

“We are committed to the youth in our community, and Nick needs all of our support and love right now,” said Nikol Grubbs, owner of Dutch Bros Sacramento. “Please keep him in your thoughts, and help us care for his family in this difficult time.”

On Saturday, Mar. 3, proceeds from every drink sold at the Sacramento Dutch Bros location on Manzanita Ave. in Carmichael will be donated to the medical fund of Nicholas Webb. The funds raised will go directly toward offsetting medical expenses. Donation buckets will also be available at all Sacramento locations for anyone wishing to donate more.

His sister, Michaela Webb writes on the family’s official GoFundMe page, “Please make sure your children look both ways before crossing the street, and keep our family in your hearts during this trying time.”
