Dutch Luv FAQs
Drink One for Dane is an annual fundraiser that started in memory of one of our co-founders, Dane. He passed away from ALS, so every year, we awareness for ALS research in honor of him! This year the Dutch Bros Foundation is donating $1 million to MDA for ALS research
Drink One for Dane is on Friday, May 16!
Drink One for Dane started in 2007 as a way to increase awareness of the disease, raise support for those affected and to support research to find treatments and cures for ALS!
ALS is a disease that affects the parts of the nervous system that control voluntary muscle movement. MDA works to support those who are fighting ALS and the research needed to find a cure!
In previous years, $1 from every drink sold was donated by Dutch Bros to MDA. This year, The Dutch Bros Foundation will make a $1 million donation to MDA on Drink One for Dane. If you would like to give an additional donation, you can do that through the MDA website. Donations help MDA find a cause and cure for ALS!
Yes! You can make an additional donation online through our partners at MDA here: https://musculardystrophy.donorsupport.co/page/D14D
On the day of the event, score a Drink One for Dane sticker with every drink purchase, while supplies last! You can also unlock a sticker on the app when you use your Dutch Pass® on the day of the event!
The Drink One for Dane app sticker is only available when you purchase a drink on the day of the event! Thanks for understanding!
While the format of the day has evolved, the heart of the program remains the same—honoring our co-founder, Dane, and raising awareness to support the fight against ALS.
This year, all donations will come directly from the Dutch Bros Foundation, which allows us to make an even bigger impact. The Foundation is committing $1 million to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), regardless of the number of drinks sold on Drink One for Dane Day. This change ensures we can continue to support ALS research and families impacted by the disease in a meaningful, sustainable way.
