Focus on Community Wellness

At Dutch Bros Coffee, we are dedicated to making a massive difference, one cup at a time. It’s our promise to each other and our promise to you.

Over the course of the last few weeks, we’ve looked at ways we can keep that promise. We’ve reached out to our leadership teams and experts and reviewed government recommendations from agencies ranging from the CDC to county health departments. Through it all, we challenged ourselves to find a way to provide jobs and support for our truly valued employees, while also protecting the health and wellness of our co-workers and customers.

While we’ve struggled to find answers that feel appropriate and proactive, we feel the following measures meet the high bar we set for ourselves:

  • Effective immediately, we are serving exclusively through our drive-thru windows. We’ve closed our walk-in lobbies and walk-up windows. We believe this change will help our customers and employees practice social distancing.

  • We’re actively working to reduce our physical touch points between broistas and customers. As such, we are no longer accepting cash payments and our stamp card program is temporarily suspended. We are still taking credit, debit and gift card payments.

  • As a show of appreciation, we’re offering 10% off gift cards bought online and in shops.

Even as we change our operations and workflows, we understand there are still concerns for our employees. They are always our top priority, and we want our policies to reflect that.

  • Effective immediately, and for the next 30 days, broistas who choose to work will receive an extra $3 per hour of “thank you” pay.

As the COVID-19 response evolves, we will continue to evaluate our options and communicate any changes we make to you.

We want you to know we’re here for you- whether you’re a healthcare worker serving your community or a family looking for ways to connect in this difficult time. While the way in which we serve you may look and feel a little different, our dedication to speed, quality and service is the same. It is a great honor and privilege to be part of your day and we are comforted to know we are in this together.
