Dutch Bros Coffee named a top workplace for second year in a row

October 22, 2018

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (October 22, 2018) Dutch Bros Coffee has been recognized by the Oregonian as a top midsize employer. This is the second year the Grants Pass based company has received the honor.

Each year, The Oregonian/OregonLive works with Energage, an employee research and consulting firm, to survey the employees of more than 140 businesses in Oregon and southwestern Washington. The rank each company receives is entirely dependent upon anonymous survey results from current employees.

"Becoming a Top Workplace isn't something organizations can buy," said Doug Claffey, chief executive officer of Energage. "It's an achievement organizations have to work for."

In 2018, Dutch Bros was ranked third in the midsize employer category after more than 175 employees at its headquarters in Grant Pass were surveyed. Dutch Bros has also previously received awards in The Oregonian’s leadership category for its CEO and Co-Founder Travis Boersma.

“It’s hard to describe what it's like to work for Dutch,” said Sarah Hansen, Vice President of Human Resources at Dutch Bros Coffee. “The genuine care and concern our employees have for one another is something I had never experienced in a work environment before or since - we are a family here."
