PHOENIX (June 18, 2018) – Each year in May, Dutch Bros Coffee holds its annual “Drink One for Dane” event. Proceeds from all 300 plus locations are then donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Friday, June 15, the family of Dane Boersma presented the 2018 donation check for more than $1.3 million to the MDA at the Diamondbacks baseball game. Dane, a loving husband and father, as well as co-founder of Dutch Bros Coffee, passed away from ALS in 2009.
“We are honored to be able to donate to the MDA and showcase the amazing way that our communities came out to support the day and people living with ALS,” said Dane’s son, Brant Boersma. “This day gives us hope that we will see an end to this horrible disease in our lifetime. We know our dad would be stoked.”
