SACRAMENTO, Calif. (September 1, 2017) – On Monday, Sept. 4, four Dutch Bros Sacramento locations will donate $1 from every drink sold to a memorial fund in honor of Deputy Robert French.

Deputy French was a 21-year veteran of the Sacramento County Sherriff’s Department. He was shot and killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, Aug. 30, while pursuing suspects in an alleged car-theft operation.

Deputy French was a well-loved member of the Sheriff’s Department and was one of the longest-tenured patrol deputies in the station. He is survived by his children and grandchildren.

"Our prayers are with the Sheriff’s Department and the family of Officer French,” said Nikol Grubbs, owner of Dutch Bros Sacramento. “We feel driven to help honor his life and 21 years of devout service to our community. Rest in Peace to a true hero."

Dutch Bros Sacramento will donate $1 from every drink sold on Monday, as well as provide onsite donation buckets for community members who would like to contribute more. Donations will be made to a Memorial Fund in Deputy French’s name at the CAHP Credit Union.

Dutch Bros Sacramento has four stands located at 5289 Auburn Blvd. Sacramento, 4625 Manzanita, Carmichael, 7445 Madison Ave. Citrus Heights, and 8552 Madison Ave. Fair Oaks.
