April 1, 2019

MOSES LAKE, Wash. (April 1, 2019) Dutch Bros Moses Lake has donated $7380 to the funds established for Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputy Ryan Thompson and Kittitas police officer Benito Chavez. Thompson was shot and killed following a road rage incident last week; Chavez was shot in the leg and suffered a shattered femur in the same incident.

Dutch Bros customers contributed to the funds through their regular purchases on Friday, March 29. Dutch Bros donated $1 from every drink sold that day to the cause.

"We're so grateful to our customers for coming out to support the families of Deputy Thompson and Officer Chavez," said Darren and Kristen Nelson, owners of Dutch Bros Moses Lake. "While this tragedy will continue to impact the families, law enforcement and the community, we hope those involved can feel the love we have for them."
